I am heading to the Historical Novel Society Conference in Tampa, FL tomorrow and I can’t wait! Not only will it be a chance to see old friends who I haven’t seen in two years, I’ll get to meet cyberfriends who already feel like family.
I won’t be talking and playing the whole time, though. I’m scheduled to speak on three panels while I’m there.
Is Genre a Dirty Word? (Saturday, 9:30AM) with Mitchell James Kaplan, Mary Sharratt, and Michelle Cameron with the fabulous Kris Waldherr as our moderator. As a romance writer, you know what I think already 🙂
To Trump or Trumpet the History Police?  (Saturday, 10:45AM) with Anne Easter Smith, Margaret George, and Stephanie Cowell, with the wonderful C. W. Gortner moderating. I say story is king…this should prove to be a lively and fun debate.
And last but not least, Sex in Historical Fiction: How to Make It Hot (Saturday, 1:30PM) with C.W. Gortner, Donna Russo Morin, Kate Quinn and Sherry Jones. In all honesty, Alais should be talking on this panel. I’ll have to channel her for this one…
Check out the schedule of events HERE …it looks like so much fun!
