I have loved this book all my life. I read it and loved it in junior high, and I have re-read it and loved it many times since. I even got to play Lizzie in a stage version in high school. PRIDE AND PREJUDICE is one of the most famous of Jane Austen’s novels, and one of many readers’ favorites. And for good reason. Watching Elizabeth Bennett bring the irascible Mr. Darcy to heal is the stuff of every romance reader’s joy. Here’s to conquering the unconquerable man, our favorite romantic mythos.
