Serenity

Instead of writing about writing, which is, as always, my current obsession, here is a video that I took last summer in the serenity and peace of the mountains of West Virgina. A old range that made me wonder what tales this place might tell, if mountains could talk…

  1. Hi Christy! I can’t look at those mountains without imagining the settlers picking their way through the gaps to settle in Kentucky, Tennessee, and beyond. Great adventurers, and no doubt many great stories. I recently read three by Laura Frantz which I enjoyed very much! Set in Kentucky, late 1700s.

  2. Sandy, my mom was born in Kentucky. I’d love to go there and look around someday. The westward movement of our European ancestors is a fascinating thing to read about. Talk about worlds colliding…

  3. Beautiful views, Christy, thunder and wind even. I also viewed the other video posts. Loved the river rafting. Thank you for sharing. Enjoyed it all.
