More Beauty

I am caught up in my day job this week, but I did not want to forget to leave another bit of beauty here on my blog. I took this photo last year when I was visiting the NC mountains…I was struck by how many butterflies there are everywhere up here. I’ve moved up here now, and they’re still here. What a lovely thing.

  1. This had me smiling. I live at the foot of the mountains about 30 minutes from Table Rock and in the summer I’m always up past Wilson’s Creek swimming and sunning. The butterflies abound and are so peaceful to watch.

    1. I love mountain living, Leah! I feel like I have a whole new lease on life up here. There’s so much beauty everywhere I look 🙂

  2. Hi Christy!

I loved your pictures of North Carolina! Whenever we travel from Rhode Island to South Carolina to visit our son, daughter-in-law and granchildren we love to drive the “back way” instead of Route 95 and are always amazed by the beautiful views. We love to stop in some of the smaller towns and just find a spot and sit and eat lunch looking out over the beautiful vistas!

It wounds like you had a wonderful time and I was wondering if there was someplace we have missed that you would recommend for us to be sure not to miss that you might not have mentioned?

    1. I tell you Jeanne, anyplace you stop in or near the mts of NC would be a blessing to you. I really love Chimney Rock State Park off of 64 East, and there is a fabulous restaurant, Medina’s right across from the entrance to the park. Just lovely…and the food is fabulous 🙂 Let me know if you get down here, and I’ll come and meet you for a sandwich!
