Writing on the Road

I have been traveling from place to place, going to book signings, seeing friends, meeting readers and generally having a ball. But I have to ask myself in the midst of all this, What about my work?
My work, like all writers’, is going on all the time. Even when I am not at the computer, I have to keep a pen and my Eleanor notebook handy. Because whether walking by the Chattahoochee River in Atlanta or under the crepe myrtles with my goddaughters in Birmingham, the ideas still come. And when they show up, I have to be ready. Muse, please keep them coming…
